Handel, Georg Frederick
  Sonata in F (Smim)

Baroque. Transcription of a work originally for violin, here for flute or oboe.

The first movement is Adagio and contains a beautiful melody in the singing register of the instrument. The second movement is Allegro and contains mostly sixteenth notes in the musical lines. The Largo or third movement is short and technically very simple. The final Allegro movement is very quick and the melody is mainly articulated triplet eighth notes. Range is just under 3 octaves. -ap
