Renaissance. Mulcahy has created an excellent setting of Holborne dances, preserving the original stylistic character. Although playable on 4 tenor trombones and a bass trombone or 3 tenor trombones, bass trombone and tuba, it is more effective and therefore recommended to be performed with 2 alto trombones, 2 tenor trombones and a bass trombone.
