Neff, Matthew Solo Studies for Bass Trombone
Solo Studies for Bass Trombone was written for use
in instruction and performance. The intent is to
give the bass trombonist a variety of
unaccompanied solos for use in lessons,
masterclasses, studio classes and recitals. It is
important to realize that versatility requires
listening to many styles. - the composer
Includes 12 character pieces appropriate for both
study and solo performance. The individual pieces
feature a number of styles including an easy-going
Cantabile, a Tango, a Jazz Waltz, a Slow Jam slash
Techno (depends on tempo!) and more. Altogether
it'sa nice collection for the moderately skilled
to advanced player looking to enhance their
versatility. -cdp
